Should Your Wisdom Teeth Be Removed?

Wisdom teeth (3rd molars) do not have to be removed unless you are at risk for future pain and problems. You may be at increased risk for pain, cavities, and gum problems due to the teeth being poorly positioned.

In most cases, the dentists at Relaxation Dentistry begin to monitor wisdom teeth around age 16 and continue to monitor until the age of 21. Monitoring involves a clinical exam once or twice per year and having a panoramic x-ray taken once every 3 to 5 years.

If you would like a consultation regarding the health of your wisdom teeth please contact Relaxation Dentistry in Chaska, MN at (952) 955-797.
